Memorial Weekend Opening Update
We look forward to seeing everyone for Memorial Weekend. Below are the requirements for our racers, pit crew and spectators. Please, if you have any COVID-19 Symptoms, STAY HOME.
Social Distancing
Racers
Racers will remain in their designated pit spot unless they are in their car headed to tech or the track. If a racer does not have a designated spot, one will be assigned to them. Number of racers will be limited to the number of spots available. **RACERS: If you know you will not be there please contact Michelle 460.7223 so we can sublet your spot to someone else.
Pit crew is limited to a maximum of 10 per driver and is limited to household groups.
Drivers meetings will not be held – flyers will be distributed at the gate to inform drivers of run order, etc.
There will be no loaner equipment, IE: loaner helmets.
There will be no ride along or passengers in race cars
Fabric face coverings are highly encouraged for anyone leaving their pit area.
Junior Dragster drivers may leave their cars/equipment in the staging lanes, however they may not congregate in the lanes.
Spectators
Spectator count will be limited to 500 people, which is 50% or less depending on track
Online ticket purchases are encouraged.
Spectators will be able to tailgate along the fence, space permitting, using social distancing between cars (Drag strip)
Household groups will be permitted on the bleachers, maintaining 6’ between groups
Signage will be at the gates and around the grounds to notify the public of our mitigation plans and stating that any person with symptoms consistent of COVID-19 may not enter the premises.
Lounge will be restricted to 25% capacity; deck will be restricted to 6’ social distancing. (Drag Strip)
Food service will be limited to 3 individuals at a time in the grill to place orders, and carryout only. Online ordering options for pickup will be available.
Outside food/beverage service will have social distancing lines clearly indicated. (Oval Track)
Overnight camping
Camping will be permitted per SOA Attachment L and RV/Camping spots will be spaced apart 25’
Hygiene Protocols
Sanitizer stations will be at all entrances and at communal spaces
Frequent hand washing by employees with adequate supply of soap, disinfectant, hand sanitizer and paper towels
Hourly touch point sanitation (workstations, equipment, screens, doorknob, restrooms) will be completed
Cleaning & Disinfecting procedures; and Staffing requirements/procedures are in place and copies are available at request.
