Veteran Racers Heat Up the Track
Driving late model car #33 Bobby Reuse -
Bobby Reuse began racing street stocks at Birmingham International Raceway in Alabama in 1986. He raced a Pinto in the Mod 4 Class in 1997 and 1998. After seven years off the track Reuse started running SportsCar Club of America GT road course cars in NASCAR and all pro style cars.
Reuse raced in NASCAR Xfinity road races in 2014 and 2015. His best finish being 24th, which is the highest finish by that team to date.
More of his races include the 2014 Road America, in the rain. Reuse also won the inaugural Late Model Sportsman championship in Montgomery, Alabama in 2013 and finished 2nd in V8 stock cars points in 2016.
Reuse raced last weekend at the Prestigious Bristol Motor Speedway last weekend during the US National Short Track Nationals. Has enjoyed racing along side his brother Roger both on road track and road courses for the last 12 years.
Reuse is very excited to be here in Palmer to start off Memorial Day weekend of racing at Alaska Raceway Park Friday night.
Driving the Andy Workman car is Jason Jefferson-
Jason Jefferson is the owner of Jefferson Pitts Racing in Naches, Washington and has been racing for 20 years. He has brought up racers for the K&N series like Cameron Haley and Noah Gragson.
Jefferson won the Fall Classic in 2016 and other races throughout his career in the K&N and North West tour. He said his favorite past time is to hang out with his crazy Alaska friends and his favorite trophy is from when he won first place at Alaska Raceway Park.
Both racers will be running in the Friday night NASCAR Oval race to kick off this Memorial Day weekend! UHP Performance & Machine NASCAR Oval Race: Gates open at 3pm, qualifying at 4pm and racing starts at 6pm.
